Celebrate the Triumph and Passion with the BSO at Portsmouth Guildhall

Have your say

Last week Love Amplified celebrated its seventh birthday in style with an all-day and all-night party that saw it celebrate in the only way it knows.

I missed this but have heard many good stories, mainly involving local shuffler Chris Boothby.

Tonight Forward take over Flamingo’s Bar on Albert Road, Southsea, from 9pm until 1am for another Friday night knees-up.

Joining residents Dan Morten and Reece Hewer this week is special guest Sam Archer for a night of non-stop tunes.

Throw in some tasty-looking drinks promotions and you’re all set for the evening, especially as it’s free entry all night.

I’ve been looking forward to tomorrow night for a while now, ever since I saw the queue of avid partygoers lining Albert Road desperate to get their hands on a magical golden ticket.

Discreet opens its doors from 8pm until 2am at a secret location to be announced on the day.

It goes by the name of Wally’s Wonderful Wonkival.

This is set to be the most exclusive event to date with a mind-blowing amount of special Discreet imagination thrown in for your party pleasure.

You may have heard of Willy Wonker and his chocolate factory, well tomorrow you get to meet his brother Wally.

Wally has slightly less of a sweet tooth than his world-famous brother and more of an ear for good quality house music.

I asked Wally what to expect and his answer was: ‘Come with me and you’ll be in my world of pure imagination.’

That explains why the tickets sold out within 30minutes.

These parties are getting better and better, add Discreet on Facebook so you don’t miss out next time.

Also tonight Amplified Summer Sessions take control of The Astoria from 10pm until 2am.

This week they have all their residents out to play as Ash Foster takes control of the basement, joined by X5 Dubs.

Then step outside to the garden where you will find the musical mix of Abbo, Solis, Chris Vaux and Sam Bylett. Tickets are £5 available from Resident Advisor.
