Have your say

At last, new club nights.

It’s taken until August, but we finally have a load of new club nights to enjoy to count down the second part of the year.

Not only that but I also have something for those of you waiting to celebrate your exam results – or drown your sorrows, as the case may be.

As part of its ‘I Love Friday Nights’ programme, every week Tiger Tiger is offering cabaret-style dining with a two-course meal and wine followed by a variety of entertainment acts. For the next two months, some of the UK’s leading tribute acts will be paying homage to a variety of music legends past and present.

Tonight will feature a two-course meal with wine, a fantastic Michael Bublé tribute show and free entry to the club after – all for just £20 per head.

To book, visit, call (023) 9288 2244 or email

Another new night follows at the Wedgewood Rooms tomorrow as they present a rock, alternative and metal club night with live bands called Evolution.

Entry costs £4 to see Kodiak Jack, Freakpit, Bare Your Scars and Toxic Shock live then, after 11pm, entry is free and you can enjoy the tune spinning skills of DJ Reverend Eales, DJ Hev Stilet Hoe and DJ Matt Random.

If it’s all a little too heavy for you, move through to the Edge of the Wedge for Hot Source Hip Hop until 2am. I will see you there.

Lastly, the time has come. Your exam results are on the horizon and whether you’re are happy with them or not there is going to be a big night to mark them.

Join Liquid and Fuzzy Logic as they celebrate the end of the stressful exam period and prepare for the exciting start of Uni. Expect mayhem, games, cheap drinks and some of the best music around, including the top mainstream dance and electro, r ‘n’ b and indie.

Entry costs £4.50 on the door or you can visit to get in for just £3.38.
