Have your say

Though things have mostly slowed down after all of the big Halloween and firework club nights, there are some huge nights in the city this week as some regular favourites.

First is the essential indie disco at the Edge of the Wedge tonight. The Wolf Cub Club has been going for a while now and has consistently impressed. Tonight, hosts Guide Award-nominee Rob Troubadour and Kelly Strangedeath will be playing everything from Foo Fighters to Florence + the Machine until 2.30am. Also, a great Queens of the Stone Age tribute act will be playing live.

Get there at 11pm and entry will be completely free.

Fuzzy Logic are busy this week with club nights all over the south coast. Wednesday night’s instalment at Oceana in Southampton will feature a proven success from Pacha Ibiza. They bring you an eight ft glowbot stage show combining the latest in laser technology and UV lighting and it is going to be epic.

Their resident DJs will be playing the best music around including the best in mainstream dance and electro, r ‘n’ b and indie.

Entry is £6 on the door.

New kids on the block, The Lyberry are making waves down in Guildhall Walk and they have a new event to pep up your Thursday nights out.

They’ll be ‘oushing’ it up on Thursday nights with Oushdays. It’s going to be all about dub, dance and electro – a super way to prepare for the big clubs or just a place to stay all night with pints of Becks for just £1.99.

Admission is free.

Now for the big one. An international superstar stops-off at Liquid on Sunday night.

Scottish artist, producer and remixer Calvin Harris, who saw his collaboration with Dizzie Rascal on Dance With Me reach number one in the UK charts, will be performing a live DJ set at Liquid & Envy.

After the huge success of the Calvin Harris Tour hosted in late 2010, Liquid teamed up with Fuzzy Logic and Smirnoff to again bring back the hottest DJ tour to Portsmouth.

There will be very limited amount of tickets on the door, so go to to ensure your place and enjoy what is set to be one of the best club nights of the year.

Tickets are £10.
