Portsmouth’s Bar 38 to close its doors today

They brought you Pat Sharp. They brought you Dave Benson-Phillips – twice. Well, they might be on their own this time, but Mikey Sparks and DJ Lemon will be bringing every ounce of their combined 25 years’ worth of experience to It’s a Sin tonight.

If you like retro and nostalgia, this is the place to be.

You can be sure that their record bags will contain an A to Z of classic tunes from the 1960s, right through to the ’90s.

Doors open at 11pm and entry is completely free.

South coast local DJ Milsey has invited some of his DJ friends to burn down the Edge of the Wedge with his face-melting mixes for Room 2 of It’s a Sin. Entry is also free.

Plus, an original favourite returns to Albert Road tomorrow night and it’s about time too.

It’s time for Silent Disco at Little Johnny Russell’s.

The concept is simple, grab one of the 300 sets of wireless headphones, tune in to one of two channels of amazing musical mash-ups and dance the night away.

If you’ve never done it, you have to try it.

There is nothing cooler than watching confused pedestrians walking past, seeing you grooving away and hearing nothing.

Entry is £5 and make sure you bring ID.

Popworld continue to go from strength to strength this weekend as they present a new night for the last few days of the month.

The Weird Science Big Weekender takes over tonight and tomorrow.

Of course, all the best pop from the early ’90s through to present day ,will be hammering throughout the club but the main theme is drinks.

It’s time to get your lab coat on and try one of their weird concoctions.

Whether it’s Fizzy Orange, Honey Bomb or a Test Tube Shot you’ll be sure to have a mouthful of some of the most inventive drinks on The Walk.
