Pub refit marks a bright new future

Gosport pub poised to become community hub after £250k refit

Have your say

Re-adjusting my body clock and surviving a full week at work has been a struggle this week, but luckily the weekend starts here and it is time to party.

Tonight is one of my favourite events. Party at the Pub at The Rainbow pub in Cowplain.

These parties don’t happen often but when they do they are well worth going to.

Starting from 8pm, local favourites The Business Partners take to the decks and provide a free local party that never disappoints.

Drinks prices are cheap and the atmosphere is pumping.

Alternatively you can pop along to the Edge of the Wedge on Albert Road to join the Wolf Cub Club from 10pm until 2am.

Make some shapes on the dance floor for DJs Ethan Owen, Benji, Billy, Lemon and the crew, and party hard to the likes of the Foo Fighters, Green Day and Stone Roses. Entry will be free all night.

Tomorrow night from 9pm until 2am Phaze2 Sessions take control of The Registry with their Phaze2 sound system and talented DJ line-up which is split across two rooms.

If you like D&B, House, Dubstep and Garage then get involved for a night of cheap drinks and friendly faces.

One room will host the Funktion One sound system and the other room will have the Phaze2 sound system so they leave you to make your mind up which you prefer.

Don’t miss DJ duo Klink from 12.45am. Entry is £4 on the door.

Lastly, Amplified Sessions host their first night of 2014 with a headline DJ tomorrow at The Astoria from 9.30pm.

They have had huge success over the festive period with James Zabiela on Boxing Day and the Defected in the House DJs on New Year’s Eve and they start us off with Nervous and Pet Recordings artists, DJ duo No Artificial Colours.

The duo consist of Ryan Ellis and Lewis Wright from South East London.

They met while being booked for the same events and after being asked to DJ back to back with each other they soon worked out they complimented each other. Tickets: £7 from Resident Advisor.
