I experienced my first night out at Junk in Southampton last weekend, I must say as a club it is pretty decent for a night out, that’s if you like crystal clear sound systems and a great atmosphere.
Starting you off this week at The Edge of the Wedge tonight is The Wolf Cub Club.
From 10pm until 2am you will be supplied with the best alternative rock, hip hop and electro from the likes of DJ Billy, Lemon, Benji or Sparkey.
If you are out down Albert Road, definitely end your night there as not only is it free entry but it’s the last place open.
Tomorrow night Vault present their charity fundraiser party on behalf of The Stroke Association and cancer research. This will be held at The Colonial bar in Cowplain from 8pm until 1am with £3 entry all night long.
All money will go to the charities and there will also be a raffle alongside the best house music vibes from a selection of local DJs.
Last entry will be 11.30pm so get down early as drinks are £2 between 9 and 10pm.
Not forgetting my usual Amplified Sessions mention Saturdays at The Astoria. There seems to be no stopping these boys as week after week they are back with head line acts.
This week from 10pm they have DJ Friend Within who has burst onto the scene in 2013 and comes recommended by Annie Mac and Disclosure as someone to watch out for.
Supporting him this week will be DJs Sam Bylett and Ash Foster.
Advance tickets are £6 from Resident Advisor and it is wise to get them early to avoid disappointment.
Now on Tuesday Concrete Music are back again at The Wedgewood Rooms from 9pm until 2.30am for another one of their epic mid-week parties.
They have a couple of big names for you this week. Firstly, DJ duo Gorgon City, two men with one mission who are polished and powerful and ready to party. They will be supported by Karma Kid, who, at only 19, has already had a string of releases.
Tickets are £7 for students and £9 standard available from wedgewoodrooms.co.uk.
