So, the jubilee is over, and it’s time to see what summer specials our venues have to offer.

There’s a taste of things to come from Liquid. But, first, our favourite retro club night rolls into the Wedgewood Rooms. It’s It’s a Sin.

Resident DJs Mikey Sparks from Wolf Cub Club and Carnage and DJ Lemon of Chaos and Delight have been playing clubs and pubs around Portsmouth for a combined total of more than 24 years. The gruesome twosome have no shame at all when it comes to dredging the depths of their music collections to get the ladies dancing round their handbags or the whole room singing.

Look out for Pete Scathe’s metal goodness in the Edge of with Wedge with Thunderdome.

Doors open at 10pm and the night runs until 3am. Admission costs £3.

If it’s retro club music that you are after, then head over to Pure tonight for just that with Rewind to the 90s.

They really are bringing something different with all the best music from today expertly mashed-up with the best dance, house and r ‘n’ b from the 1990s.

Be sure to get out your old NOW albums to remind yourself of those great tunes, as Pure’s music policy is to play your requests all night long.

Entry is free before 11pm, £2 after and less if you have a student card or military ID.

Finally, Liquid are feeling the sunshine despite the rain, as they start their sunny shindigs with Summer Sessions.

Monday nights are now home to this new club night. So, make the most of it before the autumn comes and washes these sunshine filled nights away.

This club is all about the music with big room anthems, dubstep, drum ‘n’ bass, chart and urban flavours.

Entry costs £4 on the door or £3 if your order your tickets at
