Shaking down after the break

Pub refit marks a bright new future

Gosport pub poised to become community hub after £250k refit

Have your say

Well it’s back to work and uni and the rat race that ensues. But that’s not to say that anything is going to be slowing down in the South’s club scene.

If anything, it’s quite the opposite.

Drift are starting things off this evening with a nice little night I discovered a couple of weeks ago called Shakedown.

For those who haven’t sampled this fine event yet, now could be your chance. From 8pm join resident DJs Russ Tarley Jr, Ritchie L’Estrange and Junior Gee for an electric groove of party jams, funky house and retro classics.

The night runs until 3am and is free before 11pm and £3 thereafter.

Next up, all you lovely alternative types should read closely because you could be in for a chance to win a fantastic prize.

As some of you may know, It’s a Sin is definitely one of my favourite nights to party. But, equally, Pete Scathe’s Thunderdome in Room 2 always seems to have the best rock and metal anthems. So, if you have never been tempted into the Thunderdome before, tonight is the night to go as the lovely folks at Sonisphere are giving away two pairs of weekend festival tickets.

Both rooms will have a fancy dress theme and their resident photographers will be snapping away with the best dressed winning a pair of tickets each.

To save confusion on the night, winners will be announced via facebook and Twitter feeds and on the Wedge web page.

The night runs for 10pm until 2am and entry is completely free. It’s a Sin starts at 11pm.

Lastly, a chance to ignore those Monday night woes.

Liquid & Envy are super excited to announce an exclusive performance by Labrinth. Labrinth co-wrote, produced and featured on Tine Tempah’s number one hit Pass Out and his own debut single Let The Sun Shine reached number three in the singles charts in October. Drink offers include Jagerbombs, Sambuca, tequila, Stella and VK Flavour bottles for just £2 plus Bon Bombs and vodka and Red Bull for £2.50. Entry costs £7 but buy online at liquidclubs/portsmouth and get a 25 per cent discount off the door price.
