Have your say

Possibly the scariest, most uncertain night of the year is here. It’s Friday the 13th and it seems not one of our clubs have the guts to put on a big night tonight. What a superstitious bunch.

Instead, it’s Saturday that gets all the attention.

We will be laden with three fantastic club nights tomorrow that will leave you truly spoilt for choice.

If you want to get out later in the week though, I have something for you too.

Fist off is one of the best nights in town for all of you alternative lovers. It’s classic Chaos tomorrow night being commanded by former Guide Award winner Will Chump. He will be supported by DJ Lemon and queen of the Edge, Ruby Soho. The Edge is transformed into The Chaos Lounge for the night, featuring plenty of sofas, free Sega Mega Drives, classic tunes, retro Space Invaders, cool lighting and a proper cocktail menu.

Expect current and classic floor fillers all night long. If you love it, they’ll play it. That is their only music policy.

Chaos still costs just £5 and doors open at 10pm.

Next up is one of my favourites. If you still haven’t experienced this night then make Saturday’s instalment your time to try. It’s Silent Disco at Little Johnny Russell’s.

This really is the only club night that I know of that has people starring through the window wondering what is going on. Why? Well, the night features all the fantastic music of any usual night. In fact, it’s got twice as much as two channels of tunes will be delivered through 300 sets of wireless headphones.

This night really is unique and something everyone should try at least once. Doors open at 8pm and admission costs £5

To really leave you stuck on where you’ll be going tomorrow night, Hed Kandi returns to Liquid & Envy.

The self-dubbed international clubbing extravaganza comes back with a summer of love flavour this time round. They are will be bringing back a new generation of bohemians and going back in time to the summer of ‘69.

DJs Andy Norman and Dan Morton will be expertly handing out tune after tune to re-invent the psychedelia.

Ladies, this is the perfect excuse to get those bikinis on.

Tickets cost £8.50 on the door or £6.38 at

Finally, a great night returns to Tiger Tiger on Thursday. Rough Hill promotions are still partying strong with their Mystic Disco nights and providing some of the best student nights out there.

Why not take advantage of a great offer from Tiger Tiger and book your very own booth in Groovy Wonderland. It’s £30 for up to eight people and you will get free entrance until 10pm, a reserved decorated area, a celebration cupcake each and 2 jugs of Vodka Monster.

Entry costs £4.
