Valentine’s club nights

Pub refit marks a bright new future

Gosport pub poised to become community hub after £250k refit

Have your say

Get your pulling pants on this week as I have a wealth of ways for you to enjoy Valentine’s Day – and night. Things are going to get saucy.

Chicago’s in Fareham kick things off nicely with Take Me Home, their Valentine’s weekender starting tonight.

Meet the boy or girl of your dreams as they play their version of TV dating show Take Me Out.

You’ll get a colour-coded badge on arrival and when the DJ calls the desired colour girls to the stage, you get the chance to play a round of ‘Take Me Home’ with a hunk looking for love.

Entry is free.

Tomorrow night Little Johnny Russell’s gives one of my favourite nights a passionate twist for the day of love, it’s Silent Disco.

Be the proud wearer of one of 300 sets of wireless headphones, choose your channel and go on the pull in silent.

It really is genius. My advice is to turn up slightly late so you can witness the spooky sight of people clubbing in silence.

Doors open at 8pm and entry is £5.

Rough Hill present a huge Valentines Ball at Tiger Tiger on Monday night. If it’s Valentines night itself that you want to get out on then this is the night for you.

Enjoy three rooms of varying musical tastes. The Traffic Light room, Lock & Key room and Slave Auction are all there to make sure you and your partner of choice seal the deal on the night.

Tickets must be booked from and cost £4.

Our favourite alternative club night, Chaos, returns tomorrow night for their Valentine’s(ish) Special.

There’s all the usual dance floor disorder you can expect from 2009 Guide Awards best DJ Will Chump and his partner in crime Carl Lemon. Ruby Soho will be controlling the Edge with the ever-so-retro Chaos lounge.

Get there before 11pm and enjoy the perks of £1 entry and a raspberry Sambuca for £1.50. Otherwise tickets cost £5.

For those of you not wishing to take part in the passion, I have something for you to enjoy too.

Club 8 launch their new night giving more drink deals than you can shake a stick at.

Xplode is set to literally explode and the club is open until 4am for just one week.

So, to party later than anyone else, get down to Club 8 on Thursday night.

Entry is free before 11pm and likely to be more thereafter.
