‘It’s lovely,’ says the Denmead-based comic. ‘Once could be considered a fluke, but twice, I must be doing something right.’
And at the risk of knocking him off his perch, James is keen for more local comics to emerge.
‘We need to push things locally, and hopefully there will be more people coming through.
‘Hopefully the Comedy Festival will return this year, and with big events like that happening here, it will make people realise that you can do stuff locally.’
