Dials Festival returns to Southsea to raise money for Solent MindÂ

A POPULAR music festival returned to Southsea on Saturday in a bid to raise money for a local mental health charity.

Dials Festival hit five venues on Albert Road including the Wedgewood Rooms, Edge and The Wine Vaults with all profits going to Solent Mind.

After a year hiatus for the festival Brad Sked, the head booker, was pleased by the number of people who attended. '˜It was great to see so many people still supporting this festival,' he said.

'˜The previous times we didn't give the profits to charity but we want that to become a regular thing. It makes it so much more community based which is amazing.

'˜Mental health problems are a big issue for many people. 

'˜It is certainly something that is very close to my heart and the hearts of the team.'

Headlining were alternative rockers and Brighton favourites Tigercub. 

Other acts, from around the UK, included Estrons, Vinyl Staircase and Temple of Youth.'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹
