Festival artwork  is coming along

A MURAL marking 50 years of the Isle of Wight Festival is '˜progressing well'.

Portsmouth ferry operator Wightlink is backing the project and providing free travel to Kent-based artist Guy Portelli as he works to complete it.

As part of the piece, hand prints from acclaimed musicians will take pride of place at four locations associated with the festival '“ Wootton, Godshill, Afton and Seaclose.

Artists who have given hand prints so far include Arthur Brown, Frankie Miller, Carl Palmer, of Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Julie Felix, Mick Fleetwood and Roger Chapman '“ with more to come.
