Peter Knight’s Gigspanner has been hailed by Songlines magazine as ‘another milestone in folk’s rebirth of cool’, but there is more to them than meets the eye.

Their musical reach flirts with Eastern European, French, Cajun, African and even Aboriginal influences.

Featuring the erstwhile Steeleye Span fiddle player, Peter is joined by Roger Flack on guitar and Vincent Salzfaas on congas and djembe.

They are at Forest Folk, Trampers Lane, North Boarhunt, on Monday, doors open 7.30pm for 8pm.

Tickets cost £14 each, call (023) 9226 4288 or email info@forestfolk.co.uk
