Music fans looking for something to get excited about in 2012 have found it in King Charles.
This eccentric glam-folk singer-songwriter preaches revolution and romance with the energy of a pop star and the lyrical ingenuity of a poet.
He released his first single, Bam Bam, in November with a sold out UK tour.
He has also toured America with Mumford & Sons, been compared to Marc Bolan and featured on the MTV Brand New for 2012 list.
He comes to Club NME at the Wedgewood Rooms tomorrow, ahead of a new UK tour which kicks-off in London on February 7.
Then, on February 20, his second single, LoveBlood, will be released. This upbeat three-minute pop classic, doffs its cap to the calypso rhythms of Vampire Weekend while remaining positively British.
An as yet untitled debut album is due for release in Spring.
He’s joined at the Wedge tomorrow by Tribes (who will be holding an album launch party) and DJs Lemon and Carl Young.
Tickets cost £4 on the door from 10pm or in advance from (023) 92863911.
