With drumstick in one hand, mic in the other and bells at the ready Natasha Khan lived up to her reputation for creativity and multi-tasking.

Even live, the singer that is Bat For Lashes used several of her sound-making skills - and her musicians were equally as versatile. At one point the cellist turned to bashing a tambourine with a drumstick.

But Khan put plenty of focus on slightly husky but clear and powerful vocals, starting out with Lilies from new album The Haunted Man.

The Bat For Lashes sound is often described as ‘haunting’, but it’s also about that powerful ‘battle-march’ percussion. And the combination of tribal beats and soaring sounds packs a powerful live punch.

Through favourites like Glass, Daniel and Trophy to new tracks like Laura and All Your Gold, the Bat For Lashes army used its arsenal of instruments to conquer the audience.

And the reaction proved that it was victorious.
