Two of the region’s best-known and loved ’60s tribute acts are going head-to-head tonight, albeit at different venues.

At The Wedgewood Rooms, the Silver Beatles will be paying homage to the Fab Four – recreating the suits and mop tops of the early days, before transforming into the shaggy hippie-era latter-day group.

Meanwhile over at The Cellars at Eastney, The Tiddley Kinks will be knocking out the hits of Ray Davies’ quintessentially English rock group, from All Day And All Of The Night, to Lola and Waterloo Sunset.

Tickets for the Silver Beatles are £8. Doors 8pm. Go to, call (023) 9286 3911.

Tickets for The Tiddley Kinks are £6 advance, £7 on the door. Doors 7.30pm. Go to, call (023) 9282 6249.
