THE organisers of Bestival have announced the festival’s latest headline act.
Disco and R&B band Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, who has worked with Daft Punk, will perform on Sunday night on the Isle of Wight.
The guitarist, who has won three Grammys and a Brit award, will put on a show exclusive to the festival’s Desert Island Disco Finale.
Nile said: ‘I’m so excited to be back at Bestival, this time in the prestigious Sunday night headliner slot following legends Stevie Wonder and Elton John.
‘Expect an extra special Desert Island Disco set from myself and Chic.
‘Looking forward to seeing you all in September.’
Festival organiser Rob da Bank added: ‘Ever since I first booked Chic and Nile for Bestival a few years back they have hands down been the best live band we’ve ever had at Bestival and Camp Bestival.’
