T his year’s Isle of Wight festival had a line up to please all ages – from seasoned rockers to hardcore ravers.
With three US rock titans topping the bill, culminating with Bruce Springsteen on the Main Stage last night, there were also huge crowds for British favourites Tinie Tempah, Jessie J and the Vaccines.
And new fans were created as teenagers bounced furiously to Madness and their parents rose from folding chairs to dance to Labrinth.
The usual range of costumes was on display – bananas, cave men, sailors and dinosaurs were spotted in the huge crowds – though many were mud-splattered from very early on.
Revellers could even take in a bird’s-eye view of the action from the top of a huge Ferris wheel, or take their chances on one of the site’s many nausea-inducing fairground rides.
