With their debut album Young Chasers hitting the top 10 in the album charts last week, Circa Waves will be at The Wedgewood Rooms on Thursday as part of their biggest UK tour to date.

Since releasing their double-A side single Get Away/Good For Me in December 2013, the Liverpool four-piece have been steadily building a buzz.

Lead singer Kieran Shudall says: ‘As a kid growing up in Liverpool you get into bands, it was always bands for me, never really individuals. You buy into “that band”. You believe you’re in the gang. I want anyone who listens to our music to feel that.

‘Circa Waves songs are born out of huge frustration and a twisted nostalgia.

‘We want that and our live shows to come across in the recording, you can feel us in that room smashing it out.

‘That was never an afterthought, it was vital to us.’

Doors 8pm. Tickets cost £10. Go to wedgewood-rooms.co.uk or call (023) 9286 3911.
