There were some heavy heads after last week’s Discreet party. Once again the night went off with a bang and everybody involved partied hard right until the end. I can’t wait to see what they do for their next event.
Now, a lot of people will be off to the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend, but don’t worry if you haven’t got a ticket there is plenty to keep you entertained in Portsmouth.
Tonight, you have The Eskimo Project with their takeover of both the Lyberry Bar and the Astoria from 9pm until 2am, for a eventful night with various DJs playing multiple rooms for just £5. Or, Rio Carnival Fever at Tiger Tiger from 9pm, complete with sexy Rio dancers, Brazilian cocktails, a barbecue and a World Cup giveaway. Post your name on the Facebook wall for free entry before 10pm.
Joining the Friday options are Flamingos Bar as Forward residents Dan Morten and Reece Hewer welcome one of the runners-up in the Astoria DJ competition, DJ Scott T, as their guest for the evening.
Expect only the best in house and techno from 8pm until 1pm with free entry all night.
Tomorrow Stable Sounds return to The Barn for their fourth instalment, where they will be mixing it up and showcasing the best D&B local DJs in the Sweat Box and providing tech house in the Tardis. Join the likes of Hannibal, Tom Squires, Lanslide and Scottish with entry just £3 before 8pm and £5 after.
Not forgetting the next Amplified Summer Sessions at The Astoria from 10pm until 2am – with the sun starting to make a regular appearance there is nothing better than an outdoor garden party, especially when the Amplified residents are playing. You are spoilt for choice with Abbo, Sam Bylett, Solis and Chris Vaux. Or if you need a bit of shade, head into the basement to find Ash Foster, Fowlplay and Fred Symonds.
Tickets are £5 from Resident Advisor.
Also look out on Resident Advisor for an Amplified Summer Pass. Only 100 will go on sale and this will give you access to 11 parties including five headline DJs for just £20.
