Happy Halloween! Tonight is the night when everything goes crazy with various parties in different shapes and sizes, full of creativity and imagination.

There is so much going on in Portsmouth tonight that I have had to whittle down my hot picks.

One event that has caught my eye is the Amo House of Horror Disco located on Albert Road at Amo Solo. From 8pm until late find yourself mixed up in a screaming nightmare of good music and even better food. Dust the cobwebs from your dance moves and experience the ultimate freakshow of the year. Fancy dress is a must and they are even throwing in a prize for the best dressed.

For just £10 you will get access to canapés, a buffet and a glass of Prosecco. Now, to me, a food/music combo is a winning evening.

Next, I cannot contain my excitement for Discreet presents Doom’s Night at a secret battleground from 9pm until 3am.

If any night of the year was made for these guys then tonight was it and this is the event I will most definitely be attending.

They welcome you to join them on a journey to an apocalyptic battleground where good goes head-to-head with evil in the battle between heaven and hell – it promises to be more spectacular than any event they have put on to date.

They will be transforming a space into their very own Armageddon and flying in a special guest headline DJ who has released music on some of the biggest labels and has played at events worldwide.

For the chance of attending future events join the Discreet page on Facebook.

Tomorrow, once again, Lost Within returns to Bar 56 on Albert Road for another showcase. After the success of the first party in June, there has been a long wait for their return, but patience is key with these guys.

Resident DJs Kris Davies, Yost, Loose Talk and Gus Emmett will be providing cutting edge house and techno music from 7pm until 1am. It’s the kind of fresh music that wouldn’t seem out of place in Berlin or Amsterdam.

Entry is free all night so make sure you arrive early.
