CLUB SCENE with Char Edmonds

Have your say

Last week I popped my head into The Old Barn in Milton to check out what the new team had managed to achieve in such a short space of time.

Mix in a good selection of DJ friends and some fantastic works in progress and it looks to me like the future is bright with this venue.

Hoping for good weather this weekend are the COR DJs as they will be providing the disco soundtrack for the start of the summer season at Southsea Skatepark tomorrow from 7pm until 10pm.

You will get the delight of the full rota of their DJs hoping to make you rock, skate and roll to a wide selection of dance and disco numbers.

Entry is £5 and for those who don’t already have their own, skate hire is £2.50.

Also that night, TNT promotions is branching out into a new and soulful venture, hoping to cater for all your needs on a Saturday night.

From 7pm until midnight, Owens on Palmerston Road in Southsea will be taken over by Soulful Saturdays, a new and exciting event with a soulful selection.

Your DJs for the evening will be Tony D and Tony Broad bringing you the upfront sounds of now.

Entry is free, so start your evening right.

Now for the excitement of Easter Sunday, and what a wicked event there is this Easter.

After their sell out New Year’s Eve event, the people behind Concrete Music and Food Music are back and raring to go as Castle Knights once again host one of their mega-medieval parties at the historic Southsea Castle.

From 9pm until 2am, take the opportunity to experience one of Portsmouth’s landmarks like never before.

There will be two rooms of music pumping out the best in house, garage and disco from a variety of talented DJs.

This time sees special guest headliner Justin Martin from Dirtybird Records accompanied by Southsea Soul Club and the Concrete DJs.

Don’t miss out and get your tickets today for £9, available from Resident Advisor.
