I want to start this week’s column with a ‘goodbye’ as this will be the last one that I write.
The time has come for me to hang up my keyboard and let somebody else take over the reins. Thank you for all the support over the last couple of years, it’s been emotional.
I picked a good week to write my final column as it’s a pretty busy weekend in the event world.
First up, Tiger Tiger in Gunwharf Quays have gone and booked the equivalent of Marmite. Some will love her, some will hate her, but regardless of anything, you have to admit she has done well with everything she does. Katie Price will be hosting for the evening from 9pm.
Her lack of filters and the fact she doesn’t care what people think of her is bound to make for good entertainment, so it’s worth checking out. Tickets are just £7 available from seetickets.com.
If Pricey doesn’t make you want to go out, then how about the Last Phaze2 Event, For Now at The Old Barn in Milton from 9pm until 1.30am?
They’ll be bringing some serious drum and bass and maximum vibes with them. Boom! What more could you want?
Keeping their line-up fresh, you can see DJs like Jakoni, Robinson, Vector, Pointfour and Lupo. I asked the boys what to expect, their response: ‘Gully riddums and absolute carnage!’
Entry is free all night.
Tomorrow night Maison Music 003 will be filling The Fleet in the city centre from 11pm until 5am. These guys bring you a party into the early hours and each time they bring you a headliner guaranteed to make you stay from start to finish.
This week, taking position on the decks will be Alexis Raphael from Hot Creations and MadTech. He’s a DJ who has played in Portsmouth numerous times but we never get tired of welcoming him back.
Support will come from Soul Divide and Fred Symonds. Tickets are £12.60 available from eventbrite.co.uk.
Next week please welcome Sam Cherry, who will be taking my place. Goodbye for now!
