Dan Patlansky will be coming all the way from South Africa to play a gig at The Cellars on Monday.
He is in the UK promoting his seventh album Dear Silence Thieves.
It was released on Monday and is his first to be physically released on CD in the UK.
Dear Silence Thieves was voted number one on Blues Rock Review’s Top 20 Blues Rock Albums of 2014 poll, beating the likes of The Black Keys, Rival Sons, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Paul Rodgers, Joanne Shaw Taylor and Joe Bonamassa to the coveted top spot.
On February 1, 2014, Patlansky opened for Bruce Springsteen at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg in front of 64,000 people. Springstein was among a crowd of musicians watching Dan’s set from stage side, including Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello.
Patlansky’s single Backbite is being playlisted on Planet Rock Radio, the UK’s biggest classic rock music radio station.
He has been confirmed as special guest on Joe Satriani’s November UK tour.
