TEENAGER Dani Uziel emerged as the clear winner of last night’s heat to become the fourth performer to make it to the final of the All About the Song competition.
The 16-year-old, from Southsea, took top honours in the News-backed contest from the judging panel, the crowd, and the other performers at The Cellars in Eastney.
Afterwards, she said: ‘I’ve never entered any competitions before, but I do a few open mics regularly, at the Nell Gwynne and the Milton Arms.
‘It’s going to be awesome to play at the Wedge.’
Gully Trim, 18, took second place, which also earns him a slot at the Southsea Show in August.
Dani will join Billy Gregory, Sarah Corcoran and Jack New in the final, which is at the Wedgewood Rooms on Sunday, June 22.
The next heat is on Sunday at The Cellars. Doors are at 7.30pm, entry is £2.
