Brighton band Dark Horses play The Registry tonight.
The band received Artrocker’s Best Single Award for Radio in December and played The Royal Albert Hall with Kasabian for Teenage Cancer Trust this time last week.
They also supported Kasabian on their arena tour last year and have played alongside other bands including Tame Impala, Black Mountain and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
One member of the band (though he doesn’t play an instrument) is Portsmouth boy Ali Tollervey. He is the band’s photographer and is considered as important a part of the group as any other.
Says singer Lisa Elle: ‘Ali is pivotal, on stage with us every show. We find it stimulating to have visual feedback. It helps us develop sonically as well as aesthetically and paradoxically this seems to allow us and our fans to participate more in the moment.’
Support tonight comes from Kins and entry is free.
