If the ’80s were the musical decade that got you excited, then Southampton Common is the place for you this weekend.

The Let’s Rock! festival takes over the common tomorrow, with acts including Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Kim Wilde, Jimmy Somerville, Nik Kershaw and Alexander O’Neal.

And in between sets from the likes of Midge Ure, Heaven 17, Five Star, T’Pau and Sam Fox, Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers will be spinning the tunes, while Pat Sharp provides the fun.

The festival is family friendly, and this year has introduced the Let’s Rock! Playpen, which includes tons of free stuff to keep the little ones occupied, including circus workshops with the Bigtopmania Circus, face painting, crafts, tricycles and the Disco Shack! with a super funfair including water rides as well as children’s entertainers from BBC and ITV.

Also new for the festival in 2015 is a funky ’80s-themed VIP enclosure, where you can pay a visit to our ’80s stylists for the decade’s ultimate makeover or sit back and relax in the comfy chill-out zone or enjoy the outdoor seating area.

The VIP enclosure includes a premium food outlet, coffee shop and full bar serving quality brands and ’80s cocktails.

Gates open 11am, and the first act is on stage at midday.

Regular tickets for children 12-and-under are £21, adults £43, and family tickets (two adults, two children) are £106. VIP tickets cost £131. Go to
