A Night at the Ballet is the title of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s popular Portsmouth Guildhall programme on Friday, March 20 (7.30pm).

Substantial orchestral extracts from Coppelia, Romeo And Juliet, Swan Lake and Les Sylphides will be supplemented by Herold’s Clog Dance and Khachaturian’s two best-known pieces, the Adagio from Spartacus (which found fame as the theme for TV’s Onedin Line) and the Sabre Dance from Gayaneh. Martin Andre conducts. Tickets cost £29.50 to £14.75 on 0844 453 9028 (booking fee applies) or in person from the Guildhall.
