A MUSIC festival for young people is taking place tonight.

Fusion, organised by Portsmouth Youth Parliament, will bring together a mixture of live music and dance acts, food from a variety of cultures and a boutique market.

There will be live performances from many music acts, including This Way Up, Zeegema, The Silhouette, Luke Serre, Leigh Mary Stoke and Forest Floors.

Dance groups South Zone and Stamcrowe will also take to the stage.

The Youth Parliament’s vice chairman, Hayden Taylor, is one of the organisers of the festival.

The 15-year-old, from Hilsea, said: ‘It should be a really enjoyable day with lots of great music and shows.’

Fusion runs from 5.30pm to 10pm tonight, outside the City Museum, Portsmouth. Entry is free.
