Have your say

Get ready to party like a Viking and help raise some money for a very good cause.

The Deco in Elm Grove, Southsea, is playing host to the Valhalla Fest all day Saturday – and be prepared for things to get heavy.

Headliners Collisions are joined by Seething Akira, Alzir, Stray Bullets Kill, Turbo Lover, Morass of Molasses, Terror Drone and Deathhead.

Organiser Kerri Knight said: ‘I’m a regular at The Deco, and one of our friends passed away last year and left behind a young son. We wanted to do something positive to keep people’s spirits up and to bring everyone together.

‘I‘ve got lots of friends who seem to be in bands, and I wanted to do something for charity, so this seemed like the perfect way to do it.’

There will also be a raffle with prizes donated by acts including Andrew WK, The Howling and Bloodshot Dawn, as well as local businesses such as The Wedgewood Rooms and Portsmouth Ink.

The fun starts at 1pm until late. A donation to Child Bereavement UK on entry is suggested.
