SUN and fun were the order of the day as thousands of festival goers enjoyed music in the countryside.
The Wickham Festival has returned for the ninth year and crowds of up to 7,000 are expected at each day.
The four-day long event kicked off on Thursday evening with Wilko Johnson headlining the main stage.
Last night saw Show of Hands and Billy Bragg take the top two spots.
Music took place all day across three stages and will continue today and Sunday.
Gosport band Destroy the Fleet played on the Bowman Ales Stage yesterday afternoon.
Dan Williams, from the band, said they were proud to play at Wickham.
The 37-year-old said: ‘It’s a great family festival. The sun’s out and there’s a great atmosphere.’
Tickets are still available and can be bought at the gate, cash only. They cost £50 a day for adults, under 16s £25 and under 10s free. A reduced rate is available after 6pm.
Today will see The Proclaimers headline and tomorrow 10cc will be the main attraction. For more on the festival go to wickhamfestival.co.uk.
