To say that Irish singer-songwriter Gavin James has been rather busy as of late would be a massive understatement.
Having spent the past couple of years supporting some of the biggest musicians in the world – namely Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Taylor Swift – he has now announced his own UK tour, in conjunction with the release of his latest single, Bitter Pill.
The son of a Dublin postman, he now has 132,000 likes on Facebook and 50 million streams on Spotify – a far cry from his days recording studio albums in his local pub, Whelan’s.
At the young age of 24, he still has a massive career ahead of him, which is certainly an exciting prospect for a man who’s songs are being mixed by Clean Bandit and Years & Years.
His current tour, which began back in June, has taken him across the world.
He’s been from Iceland to Belgium and now back into the UK.
His performance at the Wedgewood Rooms on Tuesday, October 4 promises to be a great evening of acoustic music for all to enjoy.
