As you can guess, there is a lot happening over the next week, so there will be plenty opportunities to get out there and celebrate the season, even if, like me, you can't stand Christmas music.

Tonight on the drum and bass front, Seshmas D&B returns to The Barn in Milton with Jingle Hogs and Uncle Dugs. Get your '˜Jungle Bells' ready for an energetic night with Uncle Dugs, Murky Squad, Bacca, Denciu, Kinger, Meaty Beattie and Mulbz with MCs Freestyle, Malicious, Charta, Rivmik and Matey Boy. It takes place from 8pm until 3am, entry is £3 before 11pm and £5 after. Venue will likely reach full capacity with more details at facebook.com.

Also tonight, tune in to The Banksy and Dunn Drum and Bass Radio Show on Fort Radio for the Christmas special, The Beast vs The Monster aka Zork b2b Luke Loud. Expect plenty of beasty neurofunk beats from 8pm until 10pm, catch the details at facebook.com.

Tomorrow DJ Warren presents Funky Christmas at Acapulco on Albert Road from 8pm until 12.30am. DJ Warren will be teaming up with Jonny from Black Balloon Session and Acapulco to give Christmas cheer to local families and homeless people who rely on food banks.

Meanwhile over at Lord John Russell also on Albert Road, The Pimp and Vaux Christmas Show will take place as landlord Chris Vaux hits the decks with resident Pimpernal Jones to play plenty of club classics, funk and disco from 9pm until 2am. More details can be found at facebook.com.

And on Sunday, Mr Miyagi's in Guildhall Walk will host the Christmas Sunday Funday Vinyl Takeover with The Baxter Bros, who, as the name suggests, will be playing nothing but vinyl all night along.

Entry is free and the line-up will see Djs Adam and Owen Baxter, Duncan Lee, Dan Anders, Sam Eynon and many more spinning classic house, garage and techno beats. Expect great laughs and dodgy mixing '“ their words, not mine! It runs from 8pm until 2am and more details can be found at facebook.com
