A gig is being staged tomorrow to say thank you to the Teenage Cancer Trust for its help in getting a young woman through the illness.
Since being diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma in late 2012, Sam Lympany has been through 13 cycles of chemotherapy and major surgery, but is now in remission.
Sam says: ‘I can’t even begin to describe the amazing work the staff at the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit in Surrey do every day to help us. They’ve been amazing.
‘I still know people fighting the fight, and we’re doing this for them.’
The line-up at Waverley Bowls Club in Southsea tomorrow night includes Thee Sultan Sheiks, Thee Passion Killers, and Turbo Lover.
Doors are at 7.30pm with tickets costing £4 and all proceeds go to the TCT. Call 07887 951440.
