Hot on the heels of his latest album, Radiogram, UK-based Australian musician Gwyn Ashton announces his return to the blues with the release of a four track EP, Fistful of Blues.

As Radiogram attests, Gwyn’s foray into rock rarely steps far from a blues core.

In a career that’s spanned more than 30 years, he’s toured with BB King, Buddy Guy and Robin Trower, opened for Van Morrison and Canned Heat and played in the Rory Gallagher tribute Band of Friends.

So, perhaps unsuprisingly, the singer-songwriter-guitarist’s latest album features some star performers.

‘Radiogram has some great guests on it, ranging from members of Deep Purple to Robert Plant’s band,’ says Gwyn, who plays a free gig at The Golden Eagle, Southsea, on Thursday.
