Fresh from winning Best Group and Best Album at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2014 with The Full English project, Fay Hield is going to be hitting The Spring Arts Centre with her regular band The Hurricane Party.

Her debut solo album Looking Glass, was released in September 2010 by prestigious folk label, Topic Records and quickly earned Fay many accolades.

Second album, Orfeo, was released in 2012, gaining rave reviews and plenty of airplay across the UK and beyond.

It features 11 traditional songs, including lead track, Sir Orfeo, based on a 13th century retelling of the epic supernatural Greek fable, Orpheus and Eurydice.

Fay and her partner, Bellowhead frontman Jon Boden, also find time to run two folk clubs – Royal Traditions, in their local village of Dungworth, and Bright Phoebus in Sheffield.

Fay and her band play in Havant from 8pm on Thursday. Tickets are £14, concessions £12.50.
