Eccentric singer-songwriter Liz Green is celebrating the release of her second album Haul Away! with an in store appearance at Pie & Vinyl in Southsea on Thursday.

Since winning Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition in 2007, she’s been busy carving out her own unique niche.

She says: ‘Haul Away! is about Communication. Language. The Insufficiency of Words. Home. How to Fit in. Escape. Sea. Elemental Forces. The Edge of Something. Travel. The End of Something. Mythology. Love Lost. And Death.

‘Obviously, I like to throw some death in there. I don’t want anyone to think I’ve changed too much. Actually, I think only one person dies on the album. The rest is open for debate.’

She will be performing at the Castle Road store from 6.30pm.
