To mark the DVD release of Rock and Roll’s Greatest Failure: Otway the Movie, later this month, the titular star will be hitting The Cellars at Eastney as part of a nationwide tour.
Financed by John Otway’s fans, the movie was critically-acclaimed, with Guardian readers voting it the second best movie of 2013 after Gravity.
Featuring archive film and TV footage plus interviews from family and antagonists, it shows just how much can be made out of just how little. After bursting to fame during the punk years, he has periodically recruited his fans for his eccentric stunts. He is at The Cellars with Wild Willy Barrett tomorrow, doors open 8pm. Tickets cost £15 on the door.
