Have your say

MAVERICK Sabre’s music is a mixture of pop, rap and soul.

So it was no surprise to see a varied set from the Irish-born singer when he performed at the Pyramids in Southsea on Friday.

What struck me most about Maverick Sabre was the diversity of his voice. He has a unique ability to hit notes high and low in different musical styles. Even when he was hit by technical difficulties, he didn’t let that stop him putting on a top performance.

He even sung two tracks a cappella, proving his voice was strong enough without the backing of his band.

He finished his set with arguably his most popular song I Need which was a huge hit with the crowd.

I enjoyed watching Maverick Sabre – his music is an interesting mix of musical genres that has not really been seen much before.

I have a feeling this isn’t the last we’ll see of him.
