ANGULAR rockers Maximo Park have been forced to cancel tomorrow’s concert in Southsea because the lead singer has had to have emergency eye surgery.

The date had already been moved from the Pyramids Centre to The Wedgewood Rooms because of the venue’s ongoing closure caused by the recent flooding.

The band have released a statement that said: ‘Paul has had to have an emergency eye operation and unfortunately the first two shows in Portsmouth and Bristol have been rescheduled. Portsmouth Wedgewood moves to Wednesday 23rd April.

‘Apologies for the inconvenience. Original tickets remain valid and refunds are available if you can’t make these new dates. Thank you for your patience.’

Ticket holders are being advised that if they are able to attend the new date they do not have to do anything - existing tickets will be valid for the revised date.

Anyone unable to attend the new date on April 23 should return tickets to the point of purchase no later than Friday, April 11 to receive a full refund.
