Musicians celebrate May Day with two all-day gigs this weekend.

Today, is a special Star Wars-themed event at The Cellars At Eastney.

Named after the fact that this day of the year sounds a lot like the Star Wars catchphrase, May The Fourth Be With You runs from 1pm until 11pm and features Carkeet, Marley Blandford, Harry and Perry, Ben Brookes, Matt Jarvis, Stefkie, Her of the Dog, The Vinyls, Barn Society, Heinous Pianist, The Redoubtables, Animal Company and Kill Kasper.

Promoted by Filthy Pig, tickets cost £5 in advance from (023) 9282 6249 or £6 on the door from 12.30pm.

Then, on Sunday, Drift Bar, Southsea, extends its weekly Sunday In Session event as Trash Arts and Southsea Mafia host an all-day event of live music featuring Alec Stott, After 2am, Home Town Show, Rumour Talks, Fugitive Orchestra, Bitter Town Marys, Lauren Haliday, TIM OT, Pepin and The Climatologist and Toxic Shock. It runs from 3pm to 3am.

Admission: £2 before 8pm or £3 after.
