Have your say

Folk duo Megson are no strangers to this part of the world, but tomorrow they make their debut at The Square Tower in Old Portsmouth

The husband-and-wife pairing of Stu and Debbie Hanna are three-time Radio 2 Folk Award nominees and have been heaped with plaudits since first bursting on to the scene a decade ago.

‘We’re really looking forward to playing at the Square Tower, as we’ve heard it’s a wonderful venue for musicians and audience alike’, says Stu.

‘Dynamics are very important to us. We like to explore the full range of textures on the acoustic instruments we use. Our set always has full-on driving mandola-led songs, as well as lyrical atmospheric ballads.

‘We always abide by one piece of advice given to us – make sure you enjoy yourself and the audience will too!’

Tickets £12. Show starts 7.45pm. Go to
