American metal band Lamb of God are heading to the UK and will be playing Southampton Guildhall next Sunday.

Formed in 1990, the group have released seven studio albums, one live album, a compilation and three DVDs.

The band’s sales equal almost two million in the United States.

Lamb of God’s history includes three Grammy
nominations, an invitation to tour with Metallica (which they did in 2008 through 2010 on the World Magnetic trek); multiple debuts in the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 and several platinum-selling DVDs.

And it doesn’t end there. Other highlights include an arena tour with Slipknot (which took place in 2005) and the main stage of OZZfest in 2006.

Not everyone approves though. They were banned in Los Angeles (the Forum had a problem with their name and booted them off the two-show bill, one with Slipknot, theother with Metallica).

Tickets for the Southampton Guildhall gig on January 12: £22.50. Visit o2guildhall southampton.co.uk or call (023) 8063 2601.
