Have your say

The Wedgewood Rooms and the pub opposite, The Leopold, have teamed up for the first ever Southsea Beerex.

The two-day beer festival is being held at the music venue, and features more than 40 ciders and ales, all carefully chosen by The Leo’s landlord Stuart Ainsworth. Food is provided by Pie & Vinyl.

Each of the three sessions also features a full line-up of musical acts. Tonight includes The Machete, Nefarious Pickeroons, Jonas & Jane, Hurry The Jug, Steel Strum and Gareth Howells & Becky Jerams.

Tomorrow afternoon is the turn of Paper Trains, Marley Blandford, Alistair Goodwin, Lilo’s Wall and Ben Rouse. And in the evening it’s Hometown Show, Shoot The Duke, Gardner, Waifs & Strays and Sophie Darling.

Entry is £10 a session, including a commemorative half-pint glass. Go to or call (023) 9286 3911.
