MUSIC festivals from across the region have been short-listed for awards.

In the ‘Best Major Festival’ category, Portsmouth’s Victorious Festival is up against Bestival and the Isle of Wight Festival, as well as other contenders from across the country.

In the ‘Best Medium-Sized Festival’ section Mutiny, which took place this year on the King George V playing fields in Cosham, is in the running, and it is also nominated in the ‘Best Dance Event’ section.

Bishop’s Waltham Music Festival, which took place in July, is also nominated for three categories.

It is short-listed for ‘The Grass Roots Festival Award’ and also for ‘Best Family Festival’, and will compete in the latter category against Victorious.

And Bishop’s Waltham Music Festival, Victorious, Mutiny, Bestival and the Isle of Wight Festival will slug it out with other events to be enthroned in the ‘Best Toilets’ section.

The awards are on November 28 and votes can be cast at festivalawards.com/
