The NME Radar tour is back. The new music show can be relied-on for picking the next generation of chart-toppers before they hit the headlines and always offers a night of top music.

It kicks-off again in Portsmouth on Sunday and headlining this time round is Anna Calvi.

With the first of the 13 dates at the Wedgewood Rooms this weekend, the tour ends with Anna’s biggest headline show to date at London’s Koko on May 17.

It will be Anna’s first full UK tour since the release of her critically acclaimed eponymous debut in January and her single, Blackout, in March.

Support comes from Grouplove, Big Deal and The History of Apple Pie.

NME editor Krissi Murison says: ‘The Radar Tour has built a reputation for breaking some of the most important new artists. Having seen Anna recently support Mumford & Sons at their NME Awards show, we are really excited about her being on board to headline. I can’t wait.’

Anna performed two sold-out nights at London’s Bush Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday this week and will support Arctic Monkeys at Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield, in June, before appearing at Glastonbury Festival.

n Tickets cost £9 from (023) 9286 3911, wedgewood-rooms.co.uk or on the door from 8pm.
