Brighton Dome was teeming with the faithful fans of Passenger when he performed back in his hometown.
As he came on stage Passenger, the performing name of Mike Rosenberg, exclaimed to the crowd at how proud he was to known as a one hit wonder. Since the explosion of that song, Let Her Go, Passenger decided to renounce the stereotypical route that normal artists take by sticking to his morals and writing songs that were true to him rather than conforming to what the media wanted.
The night was filled with a mixture of old and new songs which connected well with the crowd.
Between each song Passenger took time to talk to the crowd and even engaged in conversation with the louder fans.
But he was able to stun the crowd into silence with his troubled lyrics about a man he met in America who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
The inspirational singer-songwriter was, for the first time, accompanied by a band. Fans were sceptical about the drastic change towards the start but were soon on board as they realised that it complemented his incredible voice.
The evening was brought to an end as Passenger invited his crowd to ‘Scare away the dark’ by turning their phones on and lighting up the Dome as they sang him out.
