Have your say

Brighton’s men of the moment Rizzle Kicks burst into Southampton’s Guildhall on Friday night with a gig that was more poetry to music than in-your-face urban songs.

The lyrical whizz-kids Jordan and Harley kicked things off with 2 Unlimited’s Get Ready For This as well as covering the Bond theme tune, The Beastie Boys’ (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party) and Ed Sheeran’s You Need Email which involved the crowd being split down the middle, with the left and right sides singing alternate parts. The hip-hop duo gave an energetic performanceand they had a stage presence of confident veterans.

Their final song before the encore was the ridiculously popular and catchy Mama Do The Hump.

It was a great gig that made me feel like When I Was A Youngster.
