Rock ’n’ roll pianist Matthew Lee had his first UK gig at The Cellars at Eastney and returns to the venue on Monday.
The Italian artist’s confident playing and rich voice evoke the greats in his genre and he’s often compared with the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis.
His first ever gig on these shores was at The Cellars at Eastney in 2008.
Among the crowd that night were festival bookers who immediately snapped him up to headline events including Blues on the Farm in West Sussex.
He’s back at The Cellars on Monday for a swiftly scheduled gig with his band between recording sessions for his new album. n Tickets: £10 from (023) 9282 6249.
